PERSPECTIVE
Most surveys of top advisory firms globally are based on recommendations by senior executives in industry and the consultants and advisors themselves.
The top ranked firms are those with the highest number of recommendations across different sectors and functional areas.
But what informs or influences the opinions of survey respondents, and how can they be gauged against the actual quality of work delivered by these firms, and the value added to the client?
When a client recommends an advisory firm, what exactly are they recommending?
Our View
…. clients cannot, and should not, merely rely on rankings of ‘top’ firms in their choice of suitable business consulting and advisory partners for their organisations …
Because such studies do not help them to see the wood for the trees.
We believe that what matters more is the full story of the client experience, beyond brand recognition and market dominance.
Clients need to know that they are working with a firm that is not only technically competent and meeting client needs in terms of quality of work and value add, but one that can also be trusted for its integrity and value system.
